Sacred Harp is a community singing tradition meant for participation, not performance.
After a brief lesson, we’ll sing from the 1991 revision of The Sacred Harp, a shape-note tunebook that has been continuously in print since 1844. Loaner books available. No experience necessary.
We will also have a collection of historic and contemporary tunebooks from within the tradition to peruse before and after the singing.

The Jackson Public Library (JPL) strives to serve and sustain our dynamic community. JPL is a place to learn, connect, and grow. All are welcome to attend our free programs and events.
Location
The Jackson Public Library is located at 52 Main Street. We are part of the town campus, right next to the town offices. JPL is situated on a lovely little hill with a large outdoor space including: a patio with a pergola, seasonal tent, gardens, and a year-round storywalk trail.
