Enjoy an evening of lively New England social dancing featuring contras, squares, couples’ dances, and the Virginia reel, all set to traditional live dance tunes. The evening starts from 5:30-6:30 pm with kid- and beginner-friendly dances and after a social break a MWV Barn Dance from 7-9:30 pm. No experience is necessary as all dances will be taught. Come with friends or solo, and musicians are welcome to sit in with the band. You are welcome to bring snacks to share during the social break.
The dances are coordinated and performed by dance caller Jennifer McHone Villabos and nationally renowned and local dance musicians.
No one will be denied access, but donations ranging from $5-$20 cover the cost of the musicians and caller.

The Friends of the Whitney Community Center (FWCC) are responsible for Whitney Community Center programming. Four times a year the FWCC produces a catalog of programming open to Jackson and surrounding communities residents and guests.
Location
The Whitney Community Center is located in the center of Jackson and supports Jackson Grammar School activities, community education programming, rentals and other community events and is a great community resource.
