Gil Winant, the NH Governor You Never Heard Of
This program explores the life of Gilbert Winant, who came to New Hampshire as a teen to attend St. Paul’s School and never fully left its influence behind. He served as governor, helped shape Social Security under Franklin D. Roosevelt, and later became U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain during World War II, where his life was marked by both achievement and tragedy.
This FREE program is presented by Carl Linblade a longtime NH innkeeper and UNH Senior Lecturer who brings NH history to life.

The Friends of the Whitney Community Center (FWCC) are responsible for Whitney Community Center programming. Four times a year the FWCC produces a catalog of programming open to Jackson and surrounding communities residents and guests.
Location
The Whitney Community Center is located in the center of Jackson and supports Jackson Grammar School activities, community education programming, rentals and other community events and is a great community resource.
