Join us for a lively community discussion of An American Revolution, the powerful documentary by Ken Burns. Together we’ll explore the film’s portrayal of the people, conflicts, and transformative ideas that shaped the nation’s path to independence. Participants will reflect on key themes, ask questions, and consider how the documentary connects the Revolution’s ideals and challenges to issues we face today. No prior knowledge is required—just curiosity and a desire to learn.
This FREE program is hosted by the Friends of the Jackson Public Library and the Friends of the Whitney Community Center as part of the Celebrate Democracy 250 Years and Beyond! series.

The Friends of the Whitney Community Center (FWCC) are responsible for Whitney Community Center programming. Four times a year the FWCC produces a catalog of programming open to Jackson and surrounding communities residents and guests.
Location
The Whitney Community Center is located in the center of Jackson and supports Jackson Grammar School activities, community education programming, rentals and other community events and is a great community resource.
