A Visit from Abraham Lincoln
Did you know that Abraham Lincoln visited New Hampshire in 1860, when he was still a relatively unknown lawyer from Illinois? This one-man engaging program explores what brought him here and how he rose to play such a pivotal role in American history. Step back in time to experience life in 19th-century America and gain a deeper understanding of Lincoln and the world that shaped him. This program is supported by New Hampshire Humanities and hosted by the Friends of the Whitney Community Center and Jackson Public Library as part of the Celebrate Democracy – 250 Years and Beyond series.
The FREE presentation is brought to life by Steve Wood who has been portraying Abraham Lincoln since 1995.

The Friends of the Whitney Community Center (FWCC) are responsible for Whitney Community Center programming. Four times a year the FWCC produces a catalog of programming open to Jackson and surrounding communities residents and guests.
Location
The Whitney Community Center is located in the center of Jackson and supports Jackson Grammar School activities, community education programming, rentals and other community events and is a great community resource.
